I’ve spent the evening playing with Steam, on my Android phone
and words can’t express the sheer awesomeness of this.
For those of you living under a rock, Steam is the worlds leading digital distribution platform for games, a community hub for gamers and a chat program, and now it’s in my pocket wherever I go!
Yes that’s right, all my steam friends are now spending quality time in my pants!
Access to the beta is by key at the moment, but the app is already lurking on the Android Marketplace and damn it’s a nice looking app.
The App will allow you to chat to friends, see who’s online and if they’re ingame, view images and of course use the Steam Store. Messages sent to you are delivered to both your PC login and also to your handset, and the interface is easy to use and intuitive.
We’ve had a chance to play with the beta here at Feed The Gamer, and we’re impressed.

If you want a chance at the beta, have look at store.steampowered.com/mobile, Valve have said that beta access will be granted as the beta test gets into gear.
Available on the App Store and Android Market
